Full time veterinary nurse position
Denmark veterinary hospital is currently looking for an experienced, qualified vet nurse to
join our team.
About us:
At Denmark vets not only do we cater for small animals but we offer services for equine and
cattle patients as well. We have fully equipped examination rooms, diagnostic machines (mobile
digital x-rays, ultrasonography, ECG, in-house blood machines and laboratory facilities), and
pharmaceutical stores, we provide on-the-spot assistance for nearly all pet health and medical
needs.
Our staff currently includes 2.5 vets, 3 qualified vet nurses and 1 trainee VN. We are looking for a
caring, compassionate and competent vet nurse to help us provide the highest level of treatment
and care for our patients.
A candidate would be:
A certificate IV qualified, registered veterinary nurse with at least 2 years experience
since qualification.–
Have a wide range of nursing skills and knowledge including being able to place
catheters, take bloods, perform every aspect of surgery preparation, anaesthetic
monitoring and post op care and care for hospitalised patients.
Be confident enough to work independently but also willing to work as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills and experience with all aspects of reception work.
Experience with vetlink is desirable but not essential.
The hours for this role are 76 hours per fortnight and 1 in 3 Saturdays.
The salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.
